2008 Window Project

Crystal has done another amazing job organizing the window project with EcoClub this year! We are very proud to report that EcoClub, Alternative-V and An Orphan's Bright Star will be repairing/replacing windows in two orphanages as part of the 2008 Window Project: the special needs home for girls in the Zhitomir region, Nova Borova Internat, and the boarding school for preschool children in L’viv. The local L’viv government will be contributing funds for transportation to and from the Nova Borova and L’viv homes, and the additional carpentry work required in L’viv. In addition to the repair and insulation of windows in Nova Borova, 8 windows of the sewing workshop will be replaced with double-glazed windows, and 3 100-liter boilers will be purchased and installed in the home.All funds have been raised and are already in Ukraine in preparation for the work camp which will run from July 20 – August 3, 2008.
